Ukrainian Camgirls: Double penalty: War and Ukraine law

It is now the 14nd of march 2022 and still several Ukrainian camgirls stream from their home in Ukraine. As being workers in an adult industry, no mainstream media talk about these women. Therefore, I want to talk about them.

Everyone who decided to stay in Ukraine during the invasion of the Russian army and the bombings is a resistant. Putin would love to see all Ukrainan citizens leaving Ukraine. He could replace the Ukrainian population with Russian citizens.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, camgirls are at the margins of the society. Since 2009, pornography is prohibited. So, if a Ukrainian woman undresses in front of her webcam, it is considered live pornography. Consequently, they take the risk of being prosecuted.

The article 301 of Ukrainian criminal code mentions the following:

Article 301. Importation, making, sale or distribution of pornographic items

    1. Importation into Ukraine for sale or distribution purposes, or making, transportation or other movement for the same purposes, or sale or distribution of pornographic images or other items, and also compelling others to participate in their making, –

shall be punishable by a fine of 50 to 100 tax-free minimum incomes, or arrest for a term up to six months, or restraint of liberty for a term up to three years, with the forfeiture of pornographic images or other items and means of their making and distribution.

    2. The same actions committed in regard to pornographic motion pictures and video films, or computer programs, also selling pornographic images or other items to minors or disseminating such images and items among them, –

shall be punishable by a fine of 100 to 300 tax-free minimum incomes, or restraint of liberty for a term up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term, with the forfeiture of pornographic motion pictures and video films and means of their making and showing.

This backward law is extremely stupid in the light of the current invasion of Ukraine by the Vladimir Putin regime.

Svetlana, a 29 years old woman living in Kiev, still stream from her apartment in war time in the beginning of March 2022. She is still getting paid in euros and dollars.

These Ukrainian women operate on camgirl websites such as camcontacts or Stripchat.

The camcontacts website allows to search camgirls by country. Thus, it is possible to see the number of live Ukrainian camgirls and the list of Ukrainian camgirls who were recently online. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we witnessed that the number of Ukrainian camgirls is decreasing day after day as they flee to Poland. Nevertheless, they are still Ukrainian camgirls who stream from Ukraine.

    Good for the Ukrainian economy

These women are paid in euros or dollars. This cash flows from North American and Europe to ukraine. Thus, from an economical point of view, they bring wealth into the country. However, they are treated almost like thugs. These women are both impacted by the war and by the law. I hope someday, if Ukraine still exists, the Ukrainian parliament will drop the Article 301.

Camming is a way to survive for these women since the economy of Ukraine is paralyzed.
